The Trinity Alps did not disappoint. More waterfalls than I could count, dogwood blossoms, beautiful peaks and ridges, perfect weather, cold lakes, and good humans. Such a nice way to round out the end of our trip. Back to work on Monday and feeling really grateful for this amazing week with @califlornya and @todd_ulz climbing and skiing volcanos (and doing a cute little backpack tour at the end!) Up at 12:30am for a 2:15am start up Mount Hood - Oregon’s tallest peak and a still-steaming dormant volcano. According to the guidebook, this climb is easy for kids, senior citizens hauling 200-pound packs, and dogs… so I was relieved to make it to the top! 😂 Made it to the summit around 7:30am and back to the car by 10am!! Felt strong and had fun playing with my ice tools … definitely glad I had them!! The ski down was wild: bulletproof ice up top, some fun corn mid-mountain, and groomers at the base. 10/10 day. Very grateful for my mountain buddies - @todd_ulz and @califlornya who made the day so fabulous! Also very grateful for chocolate chip cookies. 🍪

Lovely rest day at Smith Rock yesterday. The boys climbed a few pitches and I fell asleep by the crooked river - so deeply that a bird landed on me and woke me up! Really needed a rest for what we got into earlier today! More soon!

Volcano ski adventure day 3. Woke up wanting a rest day but decided to follow @califlornya and @todd_ulz up South Sister instead. And I’m so glad I did!!! There were moments on the way up while I thought “just leave me here to die,” but then we reached the summit. We could see all the surrounding volcanoes - the other sisters, hood, broken top, and more… and it was pretty fucking magnificent! Skied some steep corn on the way down and now the rigor mortis is setting in now that we are down safe and back at the car! 🤪 I’m lucky I have people in my life who inspire me to do this shit. This is what life is about! ❤️🎿⛷️🏂🗻

Volcano Adventure Day 2. Mount Scott is the highest peak in Crater Lake National Park. The wildly uneven, undulating snow on the ascent was worth the view and the perfect corn pitch down the eastern face. Another good day!
